It follows the adventure of Donkey Kong and his partner Kongs as they travel back to Donkey Kong Island after being flung away by the Snowmads, an organization of Viking-like seafarers. It is the fifth game in the Donkey Kong Country series and a successor to Donkey Kong Country Returns.
